Burke County, Georgia from North Carolina after the |
| Revolution. He sold his
bounty land to Robert Forsyth in 1788 and moved to Effingham |
| County. The State of
Georgia then granted him 400 acres on April 7, 1794. In 1796

| part of Effingham County
became Bulloch County. |
